Hotel Settles

As part of a multi-million dollar complete restoration, the historic HOTEL SETTLES in Big Spring, Texas, selected us to rebrand and reopen the hotel. Our work spanned every visual design element of the hotel, as well as its restaurant and bar. We developed the property’s logos, signage, in–room materials, menus and website. Leading up to the grand opening, we worked with the Big Spring Chamber of Commerce and Big Spring Convention and Visitors Bureau to build packages that would attract local conferences and events. We helped reopen the hotel with advertising, social media and publicity.

In order to involve the community in the hotel’s long-awaited reopening, we held a lighting ceremony for the historic sign on top of the hotel the night before it officially opened to the public. The sign had not been lit in more than 30 years, and people traveled from around the area to witness this beacon of downtown Big Spring. Three TV news stations from Midland traveled 30 minutes to attend the ceremony and broadcast it live for their viewers, and daily newspapers across West Texas reported on the lighting prior to the ceremony, including Amarillo Globe–News, Big Spring Herald, Lubbock Avalanche–Journal and Odessa American. We garnered additional publicity including a major story in Texas Monthly, a print and online story in Texas Highways, and print stories in West Texas dailies including the Midland Reporter–Telegram and the Abilene Reporter–News.
